MONTREAL, QC.– Every Spring, the city of Montreal comes alive in a way that only the Habs could be responsible for. The hope that hockey fans feel as the team embarks on its latest drive for twenty five is something truly special.

While I personally like the hockey aspect the most, one of the best things about the playoffs is the surge of Habs patriotism and the emergence of all things bleu, blanc, rouge. It seems that everyone in the greater Montreal area is eager to proudly display their true colours, whether it be by wearing a Habs jersey, attaching a Habs flag to their car, or painting their face.

Our challenge to you is to share your war paint pictures! Have you ever gone all out for a game 7 matchup and painted your entire face? Are you freakishly talented at free-hand face-painting the CH crest on your cheek? We want to know about it!

Even if you haven’t donned Habs colours on your face, we know you proudly wear your Canadiens jersey, t-shirt or hat during the playoffs. We want to see those too!

Send your pictures/stories to [email protected] so we can share your artwork with our readers! And just to get the ball rolling, here are a few pictures of myself proudly displaying my Habs war paint and gear:

  1. Go Habs Go. Win the quater final game now from Bruins.
Play a fast and defensive hockey game and score first goal soon. Strong defensive game and fast scoring will make you winner for the Stanley Cup 2011.
Good Luck Habs. Take special care in the third period.
Control the puck in the blue line zone of Habs and send it down the ice carefully and Habs you will win
now. Pass quickly short passes near bruins goal to score. Check very strongly to Cara, Bergeron and Marchand all the time.OK.
