Hockey’s Future: Fall 2007 Organizational Rankings, 1-10

Habster:

The Montreal Canadiens have dropped from the #2 spot to the #4 position in the latest Hockey’s Future organizational prospect rankings. The drop has more to do with Chicago and Phoenix picking up top end/blue chip prospects like Patrick Kane and Kyle Turris while St. Louis improved their already strong prospect pool with the addition of three first round picks from the 2007 draft (LW Lars Eller, D Ian Cole and LW David Perron).
With the additions of first rounders Ryan McDonagh and Max Pacioretty to the prospect pool, the Canadiens have at least assured themselves a top 5 ranking which could go up or down a couple notches depending on their prospects development……nothing to be ashamed about when you consider how bad things were 3-5 years ago!!!
