Canadiens sign forward Mark MacMillan to a two-year entry level contract

MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin, announced Sunday the signing of 2010 fourth round pick Mark MacMillan to a two-year, entry level contract (2015-16 and 2016-17).
MacMillan, 23, completed his fourth and final season at the University of North Dakota (UND) in 2014-15. A product of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), MacMillan earned 137 points in 99 games with the BCHL’s Alberni Valley and Penticton teams before making the jump to the NCAA with North Dakota.
The Canadiens’ second selection, fourth round pick, at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, MacMillan recorded 16 goals (a personal high at college level) and nine helpers for a total of 25 points in 29 games, while serving 27 penalty minutes. In four seasons with UND, the 6’ and 183 lbs forward who acted as alternate captain this past season, suited up for 151 games, recording 46 goals and 53 assists for 99 points. He served 107 penalty minutes.
