► Danault developing well
- Pierre McGuire when asked about the play of Phillip Danault seemed to agree with Mitch Melnick that the 24-year-old may not be ready to be an everyday second line centre.
- However, McGuire added, “By the end of this year, if he is a 50-plus point player… and a plus (ranking) player, that would be a sure way to tell me as I evaluate it that he would be a legitimate second line centre.”
► Irish eyes are smiling
- Habs 2014 seventh round pick, Jake Evans, is the top line center of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
- Evans is having a torrid start to the season with 15 points in eight games.
