► Khristos Razhdayetsya: Merry Christmas to Ukrainians, Russians and all others who follow the Julian calendar.  Andrei Kostitsyn, Alexei Emelin and Andrei Markov will be among the Canadiens celebrating today.

► Bigots gather at the Bell: Hockey fans will have to dodge more than the usual obstacles of traffic, beggars and slippery sections of sidewalk on their way to the game at the Bell Centre tonight.  A small group of language extremists plans to preach their xenophobic nonsense to the Canadiens faithful. Their laundry list of complaints includes the birthplace of players and front office personnel, as well as music played in the arena and bilingual announcements.
