1971 — Scotty Bowman resigned as General Manager and Head Coach of the St. Louis Blues. Six weeks later he would become the Head Coach of the Montreal Canadiens. 1992—Scotty Bowman became the leader in career playoff games coached, coaching his 191st career playoff game, one more than Dick Irvin. |

► Rocket boosters
- Marc Bergevin signed Armada centre Alexandre Alain who is expected to begin next season with the Laval Rocket and will add to their depth.
- Rocket GM Larry Carriere signed T.J. Melancon and Morgan Adams-Moisan to one-year AHL contracts.
► Lindgren vs the World
- Charlie Lindgren will be a member of Team USA for the upcoming World Championships in Denmark. Action gets underway on May 4th as USA faces Canada.

► CHL team of the century
- With the 100th anniversary of the Memorial Cup coming up in 2019 there is a vote for the team of the Century.
- The 1932 Sudbury Cub Wolves were headlined by Hector Toe Blake who went on to win 10 Stanley Cups with the Canadiens

► Terry top scorer
- Laval Rocket forward Chris Terry completed another excellent season in the AHL.
- Terry was the top scorer in the American Hockey League this season with 71 points. Last season, Terry was the runner-up to scoring champion Kenny Agostino.

► Humboldt fund
- The GoFundMe campaign for the Humboldt Broncos raised more than 15 million dollars for familes of the victims.
- Team President Kevin Garinger said the donated funds will be transferred to a newly created non-profit known as the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Fund.
- Fundraisers and donations outside of the GoFundMe will go to the Humboldt Strong Community Foundation, created with legal counsel from Robertson Stromberg LLP. Garinger said its mission will be to support Humboldt Broncos players, employees, families and volunteers as well as first responders, emergency personnel, teams, athletes, organizations and communities affected by the crash and its aftermath.

- Charles Hudon and his fiancé Kristal-Fay have welcomed a great gift into the world. A healthy baby girl, their second, named Hannah-Grace
