Game Preview by Sam Gerber | |
Last game : MTL 3 BOS 0
Two quick goals halfway through the first period by Brendan Gallagher and Max Domi were all the Habs needed to beat the Bruins. Carey Price got the win in a convincing matter with the shutout and now is second all-time in wins for the Habs. The Canadiens have been scoring goals in bunches, a positive sign for the Habs as they continue to pressure the opposition even after scoring. If the Habs can keep this up they know they can depend on Price and Niemi to shut the door for them. For a complete game recap: Price Shuts Out Bruins, Moves Past Roy

What to Expect by Sam Gerber |
Ben Bishop was less than pleased, being quite vocal about the loss to Detroit. Montreal needs to carry the emotion of their big win over the Bruins. Radulov, who was not re-signed by Marc Bergevin a year ago, will have extra motivation and should get plenty of attention on the ice and by fans. Keeping a smart, skilled player like him in check along with his line-mates will be tricky test for Montreal. Jordie Benn should also enjoy the opportunity to play against his brother, Jamie. Expect the Habs to struggle in the faceoff dot once again. |
