TRADE | Montreal Canadiens Marc Bergevin Traded Forward Nate Thompson to Philadelphia Flyers for a Fifth-Round Pick in 2021 NHL Entry Draft
MONTREAL, QC. — On Monday morning, the Montreal Canadiens announced that general manager Marc Bergevin has traded forward Nate Thompson to the Philadelphia for a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.
The 35-year-old recorded four goals, 10 assists for 14 points in 63 games with the Canadiens this season. This is the third consecutive year that Thompson has moved at the trade deadline.
On February 11th, 2019, Thompson was acquired by the Canadiens along with a fifth-round pick for a fourth-round pick and then signed to a one-year contract in the off-season. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
