The first one involves Hossa and Recchi for Ryan McDonagh, Alexei Emelin and a 2008 2nd and 3rd rounders…….. stop laughing!!!!. I heard this one on that “reliable” trade rumour station Team 990 (they were laughing and not taking it too seriously as well)………let’s be honest, Waddell has stated he will only make a hockey deal for players who can help his team fight for a playoff spot this season, not in 2009!!!

The other rumoured trade involved: Hossa for Streit, Ryder, McDonagh and a 1st or 2nd round pick which would be conditional upon Gainey signing Hossa to an extension (if he wasn’t able to sign him then Waddell would get the 2nd round pick). This one is just as funny as the other rumour as Waddell will not be interested in two good but average UFAs who might not want to stay in Atlanta next season…………..let the rumours fly………might as well be one liners from a comedy show!!!!
