GAMEDAY: All Habs Headlines

Gomez drama:  It may have been Valentines Day but there were no terms of endearment expressed between Canadiens forward Scott Gomez and assistant coach Randy Ladouceur.  There was a heated exchange between the two during practise at Brossard.

Gomez explained it this way:

“I screwed up on the drill. It happens all the time. Shows you the fire is still there. There was no argument. It was a coach yelling at the player for messing up a drill.”

Randy Cunneyworth said simply that Gomez wasn’t performing to expectations saying, “It was more about competing and doing the drill the way it was intended to be done.”

Of course, the mainstream media has spun this episode into a fever pitch that can only be solved by the coach (that they don’t respect) sending Gomez to the press box.  We’ll see about that.

Gallagher sets record: Canadiens prospect Brendan Gallagher smashed a franchise record with a three-goal performance as his Vancouver Giants beat the  Tri-City Americans on Tuesday night. Gallagher now has 129 goals in a Giants uniform and is now only four points away from the franchise record currently held by Adam Courchaine.

► We will survive: As Carey Price said, it’s been a rollercoaster of a season — Habs fans are well aware.  But the faithful also know that they will get through it somehow, and that better times are ahead. Our friend, Annakin Slayd highlights on a bigger struggle than sports in his most recent video, and reminds us that “Once More We Survive.”
