MONTREAL, QC — It’s no secret that draft day is one of the most exciting events in the NHL season. What better way to start looking forward to a new year of hockey than with the selection of the next up-and-coming stars in the game?
It’s also no secret that the draft has been the cornerstone of our Hockey Parties, going back to 2009 when Montreal played host for the draft and the All Habs crew hosted a weekend-long event which drew fans from all over Canada and the U.S. Since then, our annual Draft Parties have continued to evolve with each year bringing something new and exciting to the table, including CTV News coverage, online radio broadcasts, and Q & A sessions with experts in the field.
This year is no different! We’ve got something new and unique to bring your way, and the best part is…the whole WORLD is invited! That’s right, we’ve taken our mantra “Habs fans are everywhere” to heart and have decided to bring this year’s NHL Draft Party to all of YOU!
How does it work? It’s simple! We’ll be hosting a live, interactive panel discussion via an online video broadcast right here on AllHabs.net. We’ll kick things off right at 3:00pm EST when the draft begins and you are all invited to join in the discussion! Comfortably watch the draft as you normally do, but when you want to know how it affects the Canadiens, that’s where we come in.
Our experts will discuss the draft, Habs prospects, the upcoming season, current players…the possibilities are endless. You’ll have a chance to interact with the panel through a simultaneously live chat and you can submit questions directly to the on-air panelists. Who knows, ask a really good question and YOU could join us on camera!
Of course no Hockey Party would be complete without the All Habs Trivia Challenge! Anyone is eligible to participate, just make sure you’re following @All_Habs on Twitter! We’ll be tweeting out trivia questions during the draft (as well as announcing some of the questions in our live broadcast) and winners will be selected randomly from all of the correct answers to receive one of many great prizes donated from True Rivalry sporting apparel.
