Post-game Chatter |
Coach Michel Therrien:
- “The Desharnais line with Pacioretty and Briere, this is their second game together. We could see there is some chemistry starting to build. That’s a good thing. That’s the reason why we try to put these guys as much as we can together.”
- “Pacioretty is such a powerful forward. He skates so hard. He’s got great speed. Since day one, he came with the right attitude. He’s in great shape. He’s so powerful. He’s demanding to play against him when he’s using his speed like that.”
- “Special teams need time. We just started to work with the special teams. Our power-play did good. We scored two goals. On the last goalthe execution wasn’t too good but we made one good pass and we ended up scoring so I guess that was good enough.”
- “Don’t forget, Andrei [Markov] had a hell of a start [last season.] The schedule was really demanding. He was a big part of our success through the course of the season. Tonight Andrei played really well. I thought he was playing well moving the puck well. He’s paying a lot of attention to his conditioning and he wants to get better. He wants to work at it. When you are getting older in your career, conditioning is so crucial. So those types of guys have to work harder to maintain a level of speed. One thing we noticed with Andrei, he’s putting in the effort.”
