TSN:

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed centre R.J. Umberger to a four-year contract the club announced today. Terms were not disclosed.

Columbus acquired the forward and fourth-round draft pick from the Philadelphia Flyers last month for a first round draft pick and a third-round draft pick.

Habster:

It will be interesting to see the money value of this contract ( Hockeybuzz.com is reporting $15 million: Columbus Blue Jackets) after R.J. Umberger had a breakout year (GP-74 G-13 A-37 ) and was great during the NHL playoffs (GP-17 G-10 A-5 +7).

If Hockeybuzz.com is correct, then it’s a good deal for both sides.
