	Game Recap: Taking away the Canadiens speed was in the Devils gameplan — for the most part, they were successful. But Carey Price was the best player on the ice stopping the Devils and bailing out his team. And when a stray puck squeezed through, his teammates repaid the favour. • “Even at the end we put [Alex Galchenyuk] out there to show our confidence in the young man. I thought he bounced back and I thought he didn’t take penalties — it’s a good thing — but he ended up scoring the winning goal so I’m sure he must have felt really good about himself.”
• “[David Desharnais] is making some good plays, but for me, he battles to the puck. Even on (Max) Pacioretty‘s goal, I thought the effort was there.  This is what we want from David.”
• “For our team that was a really tough game to play.  It was such an emotional game that we played Saturday. We understand passiona and emotion is a really big part of any hockey team. I could see it this morning. I saw it coming. It was tough to get involved in the game.  I’d like to give a lot of credit to the Devils. I thought that they played a really good hockey game.  But Carey (Price) was outstanding. He gave us a chance to steal that game.”
• “Mentally for us, it was a tough game to play. The good thing is that we found a way to win.”
• “We made some adjustments with our lines tonight because players need to find ways to win hockey games and coaches need to find a way to find a good combination that should give us a chance to win the hockey game. I thought putting (Travis) Moen with (Tomas) Plekanec and (Brian) Gionta — those big guys, they are good hockey players, (Travis) Zajac and (Jaromir) Jagr — so we thought that after the first period we would just make that adjustment to bring some size and presence. I thought Travis (Moen) showed his presence tonight.”
• “As far as I’m concerned, [P.K. Subban] is playing his best hockey. His focus is at the right place. Don’t forget, whether you’re an offensive defenceman or a stay-home defenceman, there’s one thing in common, you’re a defenceman. So even if you’ve got the talent to bring some offense to your game, that’s great. But you never want to risk your game to put your team in trouble because of your talent, so you need to play well both ways. This is what P.K.’s doing right now, he’s doing a fabulous job with our team. We’re rewarding him and he loves the challenge, because we put him out there against top players in the league, game in, game out. He loves that challenge. Good athletes, when they on top of their game, this is what they like. They like that challenge. This is the challenge that we give him, and it’s not a coincidence that we got success and we pick up wins.  His focus is there, and he’s certainly one of the best defencemen right now.”

Defenceman P.K. Subban:

• “I won’t be taking Pricey’s job any time soon, I think he’s got that one pretty locked down. The amount of times that he’s bailed me out, I don’t mind stepping in there. He played so well today, just like he’s done all year for us.”

Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur:

• “When you talk about the Canadiens around the League, you talk about speed. We saw it more in the third period than the two first periods, but our system was set to take away their speed. It worked well. We’re happy with our game; they just scored more than we did.”
