The Habs kicked off their week with another home game, as the St. Louis Blues visited the Bell Centre.  Captain Max Pacioretty added to his goal tally, finding the back of the net in the waning minutes of the first period.  Alexander Semin scored his first goal with the Canadiens early in the second period, and Torrey Mitchell lit the lamp in the final frame.  Another win, and another shutout for Carey Price.  Final score: Canadiens, 3-0. Friday night brought the Habs to Buffalo for a tilt with the Sabres.  Mike Condon took up residence in the goal crease to give Price a rest in a back-to-back situation.  Dale Weise started the scoring for Montreal, and then the floodgates opened in the second period.  Brendan Gallagher, Andrei Markov, Mitchell, and Pacioretty all got on the scoresheet.  Gallagher’s second goal was on the power play, Tomas Plekanec earned his 300th NHL assist, and Markov tallied his 500th NHL point.  Final score: Canadiens, 7-2. The next night brought Price back into the Habs net as the Toronto Maple Leafs came to Montreal.  The Canadiens’ power play continued to produce, with P.K. Subban scoring his first goal of the season on the man advantage.  Lars Eller gave the Habs a two-goal lead early in the second period, after which David Desharnais and Gallagher each scored an even-strength goal, and Pacioretty potted one shorthanded.  Final score: Canadiens, 5-3.
