Montreal Canadiens Media Update

MONTREAL, QC. — Defenseman Nathan Beaulieu was called up from Hamilton on Sunday afternoon. This marks Beaulieu’s third stint in Montreal this season, having suited up for five games prior to his most recent recall on Jan. 18 for the game against the Maple Leafs. Beaulieu was returned to Hamilton immediately following Saturday’s game.

The 21-year-old played 13:36 against Toronto, finishing with a plus-1 differential. In six NHL games this year, the blue-liner has one assist to go with his plus-3 differential.

  1. This maybe Louis last shot with the Habs, personally I see little upside in this former 1st round pick.
He prefers not to back check and is not a NHL`er in my opinion!

    • That’s true Gord. Leblanc tends to avoid contact too. His numbers on the Bulldogs are average this season for a guy who should be dominating at the AHL level. As I said at the time, picking Leblanc was not a hockey decision. To my mind, Chris Kreider should have been the Canadiens choice.
