• Max Pacioretty – Pacioretty has had three goals and two assists in his last three games, and a total of 11 points so far this season (4th). The captain has also tallied 36 shots (2nd).
• Brendan Gallagher – Gallagher has six points in his last four games for a total of this season, as well as three power-play goals (3rd).

• The Canadiens are taking more shots this year, averaging 32.6 shots a game, as opposed to last season’s average of 28.5. This has also helped increase their offensive numbers with an average of 3.89 goals per game (2nd).

• Montreal is struggling to win faceoffs with a win percentage of 49.3 per cent (19th).

• The Canucks (3-2-3) are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss against Detroit last Saturday and start their week Tuesday against Montreal. Vancouver is fourth in the Pacific Division and 18th in the league with nine points. They are 3-2-3 in their last ten games.

• Brandon Sutter. Sutter has two goals and two assists in his last four games for a total of six points this season. Sutter and Alexandre Burrows co-lead the Canucks with six points.
• Brandon Prust. Prust has three assists this season and it’s his first game facing the Habs since being traded for Zack Kassian.

• The Canucks have been great in the faceoff circle, winning 54.9 per cent of the time (1st), giving them great offensive chances.

• Vancouver’s power-play is struggling at 14.8 per cent (22nd) so far this season.

• The Oilers (3-6-0) are coming off a 3-2 loss against Los Angeles last Sunday and start their week Tuesday against Minnesota before playing Montreal Thursday. Edmonton is fifth in the Pacific Division and 23rd in the league with six points. They are 3-6-0 in their last ten games played.

• Connor McDavid. The first overall pick of the 2015 draft has been off to a strong start of his rookie season with eight points in his last five games. He has five goals on 17 shots for a shooting percentage of 29.4.
• Nail Yakupov. After peaking the interest of the Habs in the offseason but sticking with the Oilers, Yakupov has seven points in his last five games and is second on the team with eight points this season.

• The Oilers have had a slow start to the season and are struggling in most of the statistical categories, but they have three young forwards that have created a lot of offence in their first nine games in Connor McDavid (nine points), Nail Yakupov (eight points), and Taylor Hall (six points). Hall also leads the league with 39 shots so far this season.

• While Edmonton has their strong offensive power, they still struggle to get good scoring chances, averaging only 26.7 shots per game while allowing 31.7 shots against.
