MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have recalled goaltender Dustin Tokarski from the Bulldogs.

In 40 games with Hamilton this season, Tokarski has a record of 20-15-3 with a 2.36 goals-against average, .920 save percentage and one shutout. The Humboldt, Saskatchewan native is currently seventh in the American Hockey League in goals-against average and tied for fifth in save percentage.Dustin-Tokarski

In 234 career AHL regular season games with the Norfolk Admirals, Syracuse Crunch and Bulldogs, the 24-year-old has a record of 124-87-14 with a 2.44 goals-against average, .912 save percentage and 18 shutouts. In 10 career National Hockey League games with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Canadiens, he has a record of 3-3-1 with a 2.93 goals-against average, .902 save percentage and one shutout.

Tokarski was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round (122nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Hamilton’s next game is scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, April 8th, when the ‘Dogs will visit the St. John’s IceCaps (AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets) at Mile One Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador at 6:00 p.m. The Bulldogs return to FirstOntario Centre on Saturday, April 12th when they will host the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) at 7:00 p.m.
