    Excerpt from Hamiltonbulldogs.com:

After a slow start to his professional career, Max Pacioretty has gotten into a groove of late. The rookie winger scored his first AHL goal back on Oct. 29 and has picked up eight points in his last seven games.

Plagued by injuries in his final two years in junior, Ben Maxwell is certainly enjoying a healthy start to his pro career. The rookie center has scored 12 points in 14 games so far and as of Wednesday, sat fourth in the AHL among new recruits. Two of his five goals have been game-winners.- Teammate and fellow freshman David Desharnais isn’t too far behind Maxwell. Desharnais, who inked a two-year deal with the Canadiens on Nov. 5, has amassed 10 points, to rank eighth among league rookies.

The Bulldogs have scored 49 goals so far this season, the third-best total in the league. Only the Hershey Bears and Bridgeport Sound Tigers have scored more, lighting the lamp 60 and 51 times already, respectively.

    1. The starts of Maxwell and Pacioretty have been impressive. Particularly as both are regarded as pretty good two way players. Both could be penalty killers at the NHL level, and Pacioretty has good size and agressiveness.
