Below is an excerpt from the AHL.com game review:

Hamilton Bulldogs defeated Rochester Americans 5-2 for the second straight night at Copps Coliseum in front of 4,012 fans. Hamilton centre Ryan Russell recorded three goals while the ‘Dogs scored three shorthanded goals in the game, one shy of tying an AHL record for most shorthanded goals in a game.

The Americans opened the scoring at 18:48 of the first frame. Hamilton starting goaltender Marc Denis gathered the puck behind the net before attempting to clear the puck off the glass. Jordan Henry stopped the shot from exiting the zone before firing the puck into the empty goal as Denis did not make it back to the net in time.
