OWEN SOUND, ON. — A chance to meet your idol is not an opportunity most of us would pass up. You could tell the person how much you look up to them; get their autograph; a photo with them; plus impressive bragging rights. Carey Price is a superstar and has an immense amount of class, earning himself a very large fan base. He is not a stuck-up celebrity and loves meeting his fans. You could meet him this week, if you are in the Kelowna area!

Carey and his wife, Angela Price, are huge supporters of Breakfast Club Canada and Angela is even the club’s national ambassador. They will be at a charity event from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the H2O Centre (4075 Gordon Dr.). For a simple $20 donation, you can meet them, have your picture taken with them, and receive a puck signed by Carey!

Breakfast Club Canada’s goal is:

“Besides helping new breakfast programs open in various schools and communities across the country, the Club is instrumental in driving social change on a larger scale. We believe in the importance of providing access to healthy food for children and teenagers, and training youths and volunteers, which in turn fosters a broader sense of engagement at the community level.”

Carey Price had a stellar 2014-2015 campaign. He led all categories for goaltenders: goals against average, save percentage, and wins. Price also won the Ted Lindsay, Jennings, Vezina and Hart trophies, becoming the first goalie in the history of the NHL to win all four awards in one season. At the Sochi Olympics, he backstopped Canada to the gold medal and was voted the best goaltender in the tournament.

A chance to meet a guy like this is not something you will want to pass up on.
