MONTREAL, QC. — It’s only been about one week since the Boston Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks to capture the Stanley Cup, yet already, it seems like there’s something missing in our daily lives. For those of us who don’t follow baseball (sorry MLB fans, when the Expos left, so did my interest), we must now resort to watching TV shows like So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol or even worse for some, Glee.
It therefore comes without saying that many hockey fans will be tuned in this week to the NHL awards presentation on Wednesday, and then the NHL entry draft this Friday. All Habs is hosting a Habs Tweetup for both events, please visit habstweetup.com to RSVP for either the NHL awards viewing party in Montreal, or the NHL draft viewing party in Toronto.
Now to the draft, every year, the anticipation is always with regards to which player will get picked first overall, even in the cases where it’s obvious. TSN recently released it’s projections for who the top 60 picks of this year’s draft will be, based on projections from various scouts across the league.
What we at All Habs would like to do with our readers, is give you the chance the participate in this year’s draft, by participating in a little pool we have put together for the draft. This so-called predictions pool will involve a series of questions, with points awarded for what turns out to be correct answers. The person who ends up with the most points will have ultimate bragging rights plus one of our legendary All Habs prizes.
In order to participate in this pool, all you need to do is answer the series of questions in the comments section below, and we will compile the results following the draft.
Note that the first question is based on TSN’s final rankings.
