► Montreal Canadiens: December 17

  • The Canadiens practiced at Brossard this morning.
  • Lars Eller has been cleared for contact. Mike Weaver also has the green light to return after recovering from concussion symptoms.

► Spreading cheer.

  • The Montreal Canadiens partook in their annual trip to the Sainte-Justine and Montreal Children’s hospitals on Monday. Meeting children and lifting their spirits has been a tradition for the team for the last 50 years and was started by Mr. Jean Béliveau.
  • Everyone could use a little love during the holidays, but the impact the players have on the children, allowing them to meet their heroes is priceless.

All-Star vote.

  • The NHL’s All-Star fan vote is still ongoing and P.K. Subban is the only Habs’ players currently among the leaders. Carey Price is in second place among goaltenders behind Corey Crawford.

► What to look forward to.

  • Before Thursday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks, the Montreal Canadiens will pay tribute to long-time captain, Saku Koivu. Koivu was a great leader and inspiration and there will surely be tears shed by those attending the Bell Centre.
