 Montreal Canadiens: October 29

► Praying for Mr. Hockey

  • Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe, suffered a serious stroke this past weekend. The 86-year-old is one of the greatest players to have ever played the game – a true legend – someone any fan of the game can respect.
  • Howe’s son Murray, head of the department of radiology at Toledo Hospital said, “I feel like this is his final lap around the rink. I’m guessing that he’s not going to recover … but then again, he’s about as strong as they get. If anybody can do it he can.”
  • Murray Howe added, “We’re just trying to keep him comfortable, and that’s our goal.”
  • I extend my thoughts and prayers to the Howe family during this difficult time.

Pro players know talent

  • Colby Armstong spent eight years in the NHL including a stint with the Montreal Canadiens. He now is a member of the Växjö Lakers of the Swedish Hockey League.
  • Armstrong tweeted the following during the game on Tuesday night.

 Habs Hallowe’en

  • The Canadiens made their latest duel in the spirit of Hallowe’en. Subban certainly did portray the first part of “Trick or treat” in the duel!

Never too old for road hockey

  • Professional hockey players are just kids who had their dreams become a reality. They worked hard to get where they are and continue to improve their game on a daily basis.
  • Nikita Scherbak is no exception as he plays road hockey to not only kick back and have some fun, but also to improve aspects of his game.
  • @niksherbak : “Playing street hockey outside,so exicited for Montreal game,#GoHabsGo”
