► Montreal Canadiens: October 19
- The Canadiens had the day off on Sunday after their win over the Avalanche on Saturday night.

- Watch P.K. Subban’s goal as he came out of the penalty box.
► Milestone for training staff
- Montreal Canadiens’ head equipment manager, Pierre Gervais, celebrated his 2500th game behind the bench on Saturday night.
- The team held a ceremony prior to Saturday night’s game, in honor of his accomplishment.
► Condolences
- Elmer Lach, former Canadien, is the oldest living NHL player at 96 years of age. Unfortunately on Monday morning, he lost his loving wife, Lise Desjardins Morel.
- She passed in her 88th year, having spent 30 of those with Lach. Our sincere condolences go out to Elmer Lach and his family.
► Howard ready for Habs?
- Detroit Red Wings’ net minder, Jimmy Howard, finished Friday’s game with a sore groin and was placed on the 48-hour injured reserve list. He is expected to be back in the lineup when they face the Canadiens on Tuesday night.
► Big weekend for MacMillan
- Canadiens prospect Mark MacMillan is off to a good start to the season for the University of North Dakota. The senior is one of UND’s alternate captains.
- MacMillan had five goals in a two game series against the Colorado College Tigers, two of them short-handed and one goal on the power-play. He also added two assists for a seven point weekend.
- The Canadiens selected MacMillan in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
► Bruins Need to Grow Up
- Most of you are aware of the Lucic incident. He made an obscene gesture at the end of Thursday’s game at the Bell Centre. The NHL fined him $5000. Lucic apologized, somewhat.
- While the Bruins organization tends to protect their players no matter what and the Boston media are well-known as the biggest cheerleaders in the league, one journalist has stepped out to criticize the inappropriate behaviour.
- Matt Kalman from CBS Boston wrote, “Will these guys ever grow up? Or will the Bruins, as currently constituted, always be destined to lose, and lose without dignity?” He added that the questions arose “because of the babyish antics of a couple of core players who never seem to change their stripes.”
- Kalman was blunt writing, “Bruins forward Milan Lucic has again made the Bruins a two-country laughingstock with his actions.”
- He believes that Lucic’s antics aren’t over, “We’ll probably be subjected to this sort of nonsense a few more times before the Bruins can even consider replacing their oversized infants with grown men.”
