Character guy :  Canadiens forward Ryan White had a great training camp prompting fans and media to voice their disapproval when he was sent to the Bulldogs to start the season.   White struggled in Hamilton and was less than impressive when he received his call-up to the Canadiens.

That all changed on March 8 when White went after Bruins forward Johnny Boychuk when he attempted to take out the knees of P.K. Subban.  It was a clear decision for White, and a big boost to his confidence.  He has been an important part of the roster ever since.

Recently White was featured in an article on NHLPA.com.

“All I want to do is get better.  My attitude is that I’ll do whatever it takes to help the team win. I want to be strong on the forecheck, make a big hit or create an offensive opportunity. Sometimes, I know I’ll have to fight, but I have to be at my best because there are so many good players in this league. The more I’m able to do, the better.” — Ryan White
