► Vezina nod: A guy who knows a thing about the position of goaltending, Martin Brodeur, says that Carey Price is the most-deserving of the Vezina trophy this season. Brodeur told Radio-Canada that Price has remained consistent and posted wins despite a heavy workload and season-ending injuries to the Canadiens top defensemen.

► Bulldogs woes: Sebastien Bisaillon, suffered a ruptured spleen in Friday night’s game and is out for the season. Bisaillon was recently called up from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to fill the void created when Nigel Dawes and Aaron Palushaj headed to Montreal to join the Canadiens.
Andrew Conboy was suspended by the AHL for two games as a result of his game misconduct for abuse of an official.
Hamilton played their weekend games by as many as two players below the league limit.

►Miss Congenality?: Canadiens prospect Louis Leblanc has been nominated for the Paul Dumont Trophy, awarded to the QMJHL’s “Personality of the Year.” Leblanc, a first-round pick of the Habs in 2009, has tallied 26 goals, 32 assists and 100 penalty minutes in 51 games for the Montreal Juniors this season. Other finalists for the Dumont Trophy are Sean Couturier of the Drummondville Voltigeurs and Jonathan Huberdeau Saint John Sea Dogs.

► Just a scratch: Renaud Lavoie of RDS caused a stir on Tuesday when he reported that Carey Price had tweaked his right knee in practise. In reality, Price had a large bruise on his thigh courtesy of a shot in the game-day skate.

►Milestone: Athletic Therapist Graham Rynbend worked his 1000th NHL game on Tuesday, all for the Montreal Canadiens. Rynbend and his assistant Nick Addey-Jibb have been particularly busy this season seeing a steady stream of injured Canadiens through the doors of their facilities lovingly referred to as the “Chop Shop.”
