The Bell Centre was jam-packed and louder than ever as the Montreal Canadiens took to their home ice for the first time in this year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs.  After a moving opening ceremony the Habs got down to business pretty quickly, with Rene Bourque lighting the lamp just 11 seconds after the opening puck drop.  Having won the previous two games, Montreal kept their lineup the same, but Jon Cooper, head coach of the Lightning, made plenty of changes in an attempt to find the right formula to beat the Habs.  It wouldn’t be enough, however, as Brendan Gallagher and Tomas Plekanec both scored in the second and third periods, respectively, to give their team the win once again.  Final score: Canadiens, 3-2. On Tuesday night the city of Montreal and Habs fans worldwide were ready to celebrate, and the Canadiens gave them plenty of reasons to do just that.  The first period began with another quick goal, this one by Danny Briere a little over two minutes into the frame.  Lars Eller put another one past Anders Lindback before the first 20 minutes were up.  Ondrej Palat brought the Lightning closer with a short-handed goal in the second period, but Gallagher potted one to put the Habs back in the lead.  Lindback was pulled and Kristers Gudlevskis took his place guarding the Tampa net.  The Lightning went on to tie things up but, with a late Tampa penalty, the Habs’ struggling power play finally came through as Max Pacioretty scored the series winner.  Final score: Canadiens, 4-3.
