Game Preview | |
A Look BackCanadiens did a solid job of protecting the house against the Bruins. Sam Montembeault was solid in this one but unfortunately floundered late in the third when Patrice Bergeron scored with 2:55 left on the clock. Kirby Dach found mesh twice to find his 90th point of his career in his 200th game played. Last game: MTL 2 BOS 4 F For a complete game recap: Habs Make It Close | RECAP: BOS @ MTL Players to Watch

Game Expectations |
The Canadiens took 37 minutes in penalties the last time these two teams met back in November 8th when they squeaked by with a shootout win. Detroit is going to be coming with a different game-plan and try to take advantage of a depleted Canadiens roster, lots of hitting and lots of offensive chances will be had tonight.
Bottom LineA lot of players are getting more ice time and some players are getting called up and getting a look at the NHL level, the team has been playing with a chip on their shoulder finding a win against Toronto and give the Bruins a run for their money, the players should continue playing a hard-nosed style to give themselves more opportunities moving forward.
