MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens announced today that defenseman Brendon Nash has been returned to the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs. Nash was recalled from Hamilton on February 15.

The 23 year old, 6’03’’, 210 lbs defenseman suited up for the Canadiens’ last two games, including his first career NHL game, on February 15 against the Buffalo Sabres at the Bell Centre. Nash was held pointless, while recording two shots on goal and averaging 10:12 minutes of ice time per game.

Nash has recorded 23 points (3 goals, 20 assists) in 50 games with the Bulldogs this season. His three goals have all been scored on the power play. He registered 53 shots on goal and served 41 penalty minutes. Nash is tied for second on the Bulldogs with a +12 differential.

A native of Calgary, Nash signed with the Canadiens as a free agent on March 30, 2010. He participated in the Canadiens’ development camp, as well as the rookie camp and the team official training camp in 2010, from which he was released on September 27, after posting a 1-1-2 record in two games.
