HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today the team’s 76-game 2011-2012 regular season schedule.  The ‘Dogs will open their 16th American Hockey League campaign and begin the hunt for their third straight North Division regular season and post-season championships and second Calder Cup Championship on Saturday, October 8th when they welcome the Rochester Americans to Copps Coliseum for a 7:00 p.m. game. Single game tickets for the first half of the season will go on sale on September 6th and will be available at the Copps Coliseum Box Office, any Ticketmaster Outlet, online at www.ticketmaster.ca or through charge-by-phone at 1-855-872-5000.

The ‘Dogs will face-off with arch-rival the Toronto Marlies six times in Hamilton and 12 times in total in 2011-2012 including a game at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on December 26th at 3:00 p.m. The St. John’s, Newfoundland based IceCaps will make their first visit to Copps Coliseum on December 2nd while Hamilton will make their return to St. John’s on October 14th.

27 of the Bulldogs’ home games will take place on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with the remaining 11 games scheduled on weekdays (Tuesday and Wednesday). The Bulldogs will play 11 home games on Fridays, nine on Saturdays, seven on Sundays, six on Tuesdays and five on Wednesdays. All Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday home games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the games on November 8th and February 7th. All Saturday home games are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. with the exception of the January 21st game. All Sunday home games will be played at 3:00 p.m. with the exception of the March 4th game.

Hamilton’s longest home stand during the 2011-2012 season will begin on Sunday, October 30th and end on Friday, November 11th with the Bulldogs playing six games in 13. The team’s longest road trip will commence on Saturday, March 10th and conclude on Tuesday, April 3rd with the ‘Dogs playing 12 games in 25 days.
