Below are excerpts from the Canadiens.com article by Heather Engel regarding the recent activities surrounding the Hamilton Bulldogs:
Despite the losses, a few Bulldogs have been rolling right along as the first month of the season comes to a close.
- A veteran on the Hamilton roster at just 22 years old, Matt D’Agostini has been leading the way offensively with 10 points in seven games. His totals are best among the ‘Dogs and put him in a tie for ninth place in AHL scoring. After racking up 102 points combined in his first two pro seasons, D’Agostini is on pace to improve on his numbers once again this year, possibly even doubling last season’s 53-point total.
- Signed as a free agent in the offseason, centre Yanick Lehoux has been a pleasant surprise in the early goings of the campaign. Lehoux sits second among the Bulldogs with seven points and his four goals are tied with D’Agostini for the team lead.
- Marc Denis signed this offseason looking to get his career and his confidence back on track. After three weeks, it would appear Denis is headed in the right direction. The veteran netminder has appeared in six of the Bulldogs’ seven games this season, posting a 4-1-0-1 record to go with a 2.37 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.
