BULLDOGS SIGN OLIVIER ARCHAMBAULT TO A.T.O.

HAMILTON, ONT – Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Bulldogs have signed forward Olivier Archambault to an Amateur Try-Out Contract. The team has also signed defenceman Adam Ross to a Professional Try-Out Contract. As per club policy, financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
Archambault, 20, played 64 regular season games this season for the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League registering 66 points (32 goals, 34 assists) and 56 penalty minutes ranking second on the team in goals and points. The 5’11”, 184-pound forward spent a total of four seasons in the QMJHL with the Voltigeurs and the Val d’Or Foreurs recording 185 points (81 goals, 104 assists) and 122 penalty minutes in 232 regular season games. The native of La Gardeur, Quebec was originally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the fourth round, 108th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Ross, 26, has played 51 games this season with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL recording eight points (1 goal, 7 assists) and 85 penalty minutes. Ross has played 122 regular season games over three seasons in the ECHL with the Nailers, the Bakersfield Condors and the Victoria Salmon Kings registering 23 points (3 goals, 20 assists) and 216 penalty minutes. The native of Red Deer, Alberta spent four seasons from 2007-2011 playing for Merrimack College in the Hockey East Association in posting 30 points (7 goals, 23 assists) and 209 penalty minutes in 139 regular season games. Ross played three seasons from 2004-2007 for the Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League notching 75 points (28 goals, 47 assists) and 364 penalty minutes in 169 regular season games.
