In what could be one of the better picks for the Habs, Timmins took a high risk type of prospect in Maxim Trunev who turned heads at the MAC Midget tournament in Calgary where he was named MVP and he reportedly put up good numbers in the Russian Junior league this year. There is a chance that he could opt to play in the CHL next season as several teams are said to be interested in him, so if a deal can be worked out he would then likely be selected in the CHL Euro Import Draft. Trunev becomes the youngest prospect in the system as he was just a few days away from being eligible for the ’09 draft.
