CANADIENS ASSIGN JACOB DE LA ROSE TO BULLDOGS
19-year-old forward made NHL debut with Canadiens on Tuesday

MONTREAL, QUE. – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned forward Jacob de la Rose to the Bulldogs.
de la Rose has split this season – his first year of pro in North America – between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In one game with Montreal, he has recorded no points or penalty minutes. In 37 games with Hamilton, he has recorded 11 points (six goals, five assists) and 11 penalty minutes. de la Rose also recently captained Team Sweden at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship. In seven games at the tournament, he recorded four points (two goals, two assists) and four penalty minutes.
Before joining the Bulldogs this season, the 19-year-old spent one season in the Swedish Hockey League with Leksands IF. In 49 SHL regular season games in 2013-14, the 6-3, 203-pound forward recorded 13 points (seven goals, six assists) and 18 penalty minutes. The Arvika, Sweden native also played one season in the Allsvenskan with Leksand. In 38 Allsvenskan regular season games in 2012-13, he recorded 12 points (six goals, six assists) and 31 penalty minutes.
de la Rose was selected by the Canadiens in the second round (34th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 6 when they’ll host the Iowa Wild at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
