Habster’ take:

Jonathan Ferland will have an uphill battle to win a fourth line spot with the Canadiens this fall. Not that he has looked out of place when he was called up in 2005-06 season to replace injured players. Ferland is a role player which the Canadiens have an abundant of with the likes of Chipchura, Lapierre, Milroy, Begin, Murray and Kostopoulos to name a few. He is not the fleetest of skaters which will hurt his chances to make the Habs as well.
