MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens announced Wednesday that defenseman Yannick Weber
has been called up from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs. Weber will join the Canadiens tonight in Montreal, and will be available for Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Bell Centre.
Weber, 21, had been recalled from Hamilton for the first time this season on October 4. The 5’11’’, 193 lbs defenseman played three games with the Canadiens this season before being assigned to Hamilton on October 12. With the Canadiens, he was held pointless with one shot on goal, while playing an average ice time of 14 minutes and 50 seconds.
Weber recorded six points (1-5-6) in 22 games with the Bulldogs. He added 59 shots on goal and 22 penalty minutes, with a +5 plus/minus differential.
