The Montreal Canadiens mourn the loss of Frank Selke Jr.

MONTREAL – The Canadiens organization was saddened to learn that former team executive Frank Selke Jr. passed away yesterday. Selke, 83, worked in various roles at the Montreal Forum before being named vice president of marketing and promotions. Selke was the son of former Canadiens general manager Frank J. Selke who led the Canadiens from 1946 to 1964, earning six Stanley Cup championships.
Frank Selke Jr. is a member of the Ontario Special Olympics Hall of Fame and was presented with the Canada Volunteer Award in 1991 and the Canada 125 Award in 1992.
