For seats in the Bell Centre’s Platinum or Prestige sections, fans are invited to bring a pair of new or used skates to participating Canadian Tire stores throughout Quebec. In return for their skate donation they will receive a voucher for a pair of VIP tickets. All donated skates will be given, on behalf of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, to charities in the communities where the BLEU BLANC BOUGE outdoor rinks were built, to help provide equipment to underprivileged children.

Vouchers are available at the customer service counters of participating Canadian Tire stores as of September 6, while supplies last. Vouchers can be exchanged for tickets by logging on to www.canadiens.com from September 6 to 15, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities

The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a five-year partnership with Canadian Tire and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities. Starting with the 2014-15 season, Canadian Tire and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities will be joining forces to present the BLEU BLANC BOUGE Program, which represents a financial commitment of $230,000 to help youth be more active. The first component of this program is the construction of refrigerated multipurpose community outdoor rinks in underprivileged communities in Montreal and throughout Quebec. Scheduled to open in winter 2015, the sixth BLEU BLANC BOUGE rink has been under construction since the end of August in Lionel-Groulx Park in the City of Longueuil. The foundations will collaborate on various programs, including BLEU BLANC BOUGE in action, to enable hundreds of children to learn how to skate and handle a stick and a puck.
