The 6-2, 214-pound forward was acquired by the Canadiens via trade with the Calgary Flames along with Patrick Holland and a 2013 second-round draft pick in exchange for Mike Cammalleri, Karri Ramo and a 2012 fifth-round pick on January 12, 2012.
