MONTREAL –The Montreal Canadiens announced Tuesday that forward Ryan White has been called up from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs. White will join the Canadiens today in Ottawa for tonight’s game against the Senators at Scotiabank Place.
White, 21, had been recalled for the first time from Hamilton on November 4. The 6’00’’, 193 lbs forward played 13 games with the Canadiens before being assigned to Hamilton on December 5. White played his first NHL game on November 5 against the Bruins in Boston. With the Canadiens, he registered two points (0-2-2), recorded 40 hits and blocked 12 shots, while playing an average of 11 minutes and 58 seconds.
White recorded seven points (3-4-7) in 12 games with the Bulldogs this season. He added 31 shots on goal and 29 penalty minutes, while maintaining a -1 plus/minus differential.
As per the press release, the Canadiens announced Ryan White's callup from Hamilton at 12:41 pm.
Apparently this was too late for the NHL as Bettman leaves for his afternoon nap at noon.
