PRESS RELEASE

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced today that right winger Ryan White has been assigned to the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs for conditioning purposes. The Club also returned right winger Aaron Palushaj to Hamilton. White and Palushaj will report to the Bulldogs today in Hamilton. The Bulldogs will play against the San Antonio Rampage on Tuesday, February 7.

White, 23, has yet to play a game with the Canadiens this season due to a sports hernia suffered during the team’s training camp, last September.

The 6’00’’, 188 lbs forward entered his third NHL season in 2011-12. In 43 career regular season games White has registered seven points (2 goals, 5 assists), 117 hits and 54 penalty minutes.

A native of Brandon, Manitoba, White was the Canadiens’ fourth pick (third round, 66th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

In 17 games with the Canadiens this season, Palushaj notched one assist, his first career NHL point, on Sunday, February 5 against the Winnipeg Jets. The 5’11’’, 188 lbs forward recorded 12 shots on goal, four blocked shots and 13 hits, while averaging 7:02 of ice time per game.

Recalled from the Bulldogs on February 3, the 22-year old forward leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 28 points (13 goals and 15 assists) in 29 games with Hamilton this season. He ranks second on the team in goals (13) and is tied for second in powerplay goals (5). Palushaj added 96 shots on goal and displays a +2 plus/minus differential.

A native of Livonia, Michigan, Palushaj was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in return for Matt D’Agostini on March 3, 2010.
