BROSSARD – The Canadiens have agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with defenseman Greg Pateryn.
The 25-year-old blue-liner played 17 games with the Canadiens in 2014-15, his third pro season, averaging 12:39 of ice time per game and dishing out 48 hits. In 53 AHL games with the Hamilton Bulldogs, the 6-foot-2 rearguard had three goals, 12 assists and 15 points, in addition to racking up 56 penalty minutes.
In 128 career games with the Bulldogs, Pateryn has scored 25 goals and added 36 points. He was selected in the fifth round, 128th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
