MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced Wednesday the signing of goaltender Mike Condon to a two-year contract (2013-14 to 2014-15). As per club policy, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
In 24 games with the ECAC’s Princeton Tigers in 2012-13, Condon displayed a record of eight wins, 11 losses and four ties. The goaltender maintained a 2.48 goals against average and a .923 save percentage.
Condon, 23, also played four games with the ECHL’s Ontario Reign, showing a record of three wins and one loss, with a 1.48 goals against average and a .943 save percentage. The 6’2’’ and 195 lbs goalkeeper completed his season with the AHL’s Houston Aeros, posting a 3-0-0 record in five games, with a 2.39 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.
Born in Needham, Massachusetts, Condon spent four seasons with the Princeton Tigers of the ECAC, playing a total of 53 games with a record of 18-22-8 along with a 2.65 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.
