CAREY PRICE EARNS MOLSON CUP HONOR FOR NOVEMBER

MONTREAL – Netminder Carey Price is the Molson Cup recipient for the month of November. Price, who was the overall Molson Cup award winner in 2010-11, is the recipient of the award for the second consecutive month of the 2011-12 season.
Price was selected the first star of the game on November 16 against Carolina, twice the second star (Nov. 4 at Ottawa and Nov. 21 against Boston), and on three occasions the third star (Nov. 10 at Phoenix, Nov. 19 against the New York Rangers and Nov. 26 against Pittsburgh). Price finished ahead of teammates Max Pacioretty and Erik Cole.
Price had a 5-4-2 record in 11 games in November, with a 1.97 goals against average. He stopped 290 of the 312 shots he faced for a .930 save percentage. The netminder also recorded two shutouts; on the 16 against Carolina and the 19 against the Rangers. The 24-year old goaltender was named the NHL First Star for the week ending on November 20 with a 2-0-1 record, a 0.65 goals against average and a .973 save percentage.
Carey Price will be presented with the Molson Cup during a ceremony prior to the December 6 game against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Bell Centre.
