LONGUEUIL, QC. — Excuse my sick sense of humour but I thought it was all kind of funny how this story went down.

This all started with Carey tweeting about how his dog Motty got his first duck.

This dead animal picture did not cause any uproar, quite the contrary. The replies Carey received were mostly on his cute dog Motty. Everyone loves Motty.

Then, Carey tweeted about Motty catching his first quail and pheasant, and once again, Motty appeared in the picture.

This dead animal picture did not cause any uproar either. Oh and again, everyone loves Motty.

Finally, the picture that caused a big uproar on twitter, the one with Carey and his masked friend who appears holding a big gun (that’s my level of expertise on this gun, it’s big and it looks mean), and the coyote, lifeless in the back of the pickup truck.

Notice, Motty did not appear in this last picture. He should have.

The twitter uproar came on many fronts. Some believed the timing wasn’t proper with regards to the recent shootings in the U.S. Some believed he had no business hunting coyotes to begin with. Other believed the weapon held by his friend in the picture was far too powerful for hunting.

Carey later clarified why they were hunting a coyote to begin with:

Chill, relax.
