Cole Caufield Receives Award
On Wednesday, Canadiens forward Cole Caufield was honored at the 2021 Hobey Baker Memorial Golf Tournament and Awards Banquet held at Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Caufield participated in the tournament along with past Hobey Baker Award winners and then received his trophy, in recognition of being named the as the top college hockey player, surrounded by his family.
“As you’re in the moment you kind of didn’t really get to accept or understand or appreciate the success that I did have,” Caufield told the Wisconsin State Journal. “Obviously, this is the time now to really appreciate that you earned it. I’m always going to remember this day and it’ll for sure be one of the best days of my life, this year especially.”
Caufield spoke to reporters just before he teed off for the golf tournament.

After formally being presented with the 2021 Hobey Baker Award, Caufield addressed the attendees.
Price a Good Bet for Vezina
Oddsmakers have included Canadiens goaltender Carey Price in their top-5 as they ranked the chances of the league’s goaltenders winning the Vezina Trophy for 2021-22. Andrei Vasilevskiy (TBL) has the best odds at +400, Philipp Grubauer (SEA) and Marc-Andre Fleury (CHI) are tied for the second best odds at +800 while Carey Price (MTL), Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) and Semyon Varlamov (NYI) are tied for fourth best at +1000.
2021-22 Vezina Trophy odds were posted by BetMGM on Wednesday.
A Pair For Norlinder
Canadiens prospect Mattias Norlinder was back in action as his Frolunda Indians beat Leksands IF 3-2 in a shootout. The 21-year-old defenceman had two third period assists as the Indians rallied from a two-goal deficit scoring twice in the last five minutes of the frame.
