The Habs defenceman had missed the last 23 games after suffering a knee injury against the Florida Panthers. Guhle was excellent in his return, scoring the Canadiens first goal in the third period. Making his debut for Montreal was Denis Gurianov, obtained in a trade from the Dallas Stars on Sunday for Evgenii Dadonov. Gurianov had the luxury of being slotted on the Canadiens top line with Nick Suzuki and Mike Hoffman. Gurianov made a good first impression on Marty St. Louis leading the team with six shots on goal in just over 17 minutes of ice time. Jesse Ylonen continues his strong play at the NHL level. Ylonen scored the game-winning goal against the Sharks just 1:52 after Guhle’s blast. Christian Dvorak added an empty-net goal to finish off the Sharks. Jake Allen was the game’s first star making 38 saves. Up NextThe Canadiens play their final game before the trade deadline on Thursday night against the Kings in Los Angeles.
