Excerpt from George Richards’ On Frozen Pond blog article concerning the speculation that Olli Jokinen has asked to be traded out of Florida:
After landing in Montreal, I phoned up Mark Gandler, Olli’s agent, to ask him about the TSN report in which Olli supposedly has asked out of Florida. I doubt Olli would call JM personally for such a thing; he’d let his agent do it. So I asked if it was true. Gandler wouldn’t confirm or deny the report, only saying that TSN spoke with neither he nor Olli, and basically told me if he commented on every rumor regarding his client, we’d speak every day.

You’d have to think the above denial or non-comment by Mark Gandler speaks volumes regarding the entire situation. I would think Jokinen is being shopped even more heavily now than he was before the trade deadline.
Pierre McGuire was just talking on The Team 990 and stated that the Calgary Flames are in hot pursuit of Jokinen and are willing to trade Alex Tanguay.
I would think it would cost the Flames a pick and/or another player (possibly a decent prospect) to get Jokinen out of Miami.
