It will be only the fourth time since he entered the NHL with the old Hartford Whalers in 1996 that Giguere has played in his hometown. Giguere is 3-2-1 all-time against the Canadiens, including 1-1-1 with a 2.92 goals-against average and .893 save percentage in Montreal.
“It’s a lot of fun,” Giguere said. “Ask anybody in the league. I think Montreal is probably one of the best places to go play, just for the atmosphere around the rink. It’s going to be a Saturday, so it’s going to be kind of a zoo downtown and around the rink.”
